Yes, Croatia is open!!!
And they welcome international tourists.
Before I will go to the information how to travel and fulfill regulations to entry, I want to tell you little about Croatia and why you should spend your vacation there.
Croatia is a beautiful Central European country along the Adriatic Sea.
Croatia is so much more than just pretty beaches. For example, Plitvice National Park is one of the best national parks in Europe, is also a bucket-list destination for the nature lover or adventure seeker. It's located only two hours from the city of Zagreb. You can enjoy turquoise lakes, gorgeous canyons, and spectacular waterfalls. It’s also an incredibly walkable park, since many of the paths are well-marked and even constructed with wood for easy accessibility.
Throughout the country, foodies, wine and coffee lovers can find fine food, delectable wine, and strong java to enjoy. And if you’re a TV addict, many of Croatia’s ancient sites have served as filming locations for the HBO show "Game of Thrones."
It’s also home to some exciting adventure areas where you can soar on a zip line or go hiking, biking, climbing, or kayaking in its many national parks.
History lovers will be in heaven too According to the UNESCO World Heritage Convention, Croatia is home to eight cultural and two natural UNESCO sites. You can find many sights to see, tours to take, and intriguing architecture that’s been preserved for hundreds of years, including a first-century Roman amphitheater in the city of Pula in Istria

Now let's talk about what you need to do to travel to Croatia.
First, I want to say that I provide the most accurate information at the time when this article was created. And because the world still trying to recover from Covid situation, the regulations and situations are changing frequently. So I can't guarantee that at the time you read this article, the information will be still accurate. So please always double-check with official sources or follow us for new updates.
So what are the requirements for traveling to Croatia?
Currently, citizens from all over the world can enter Croatia if they have the correct documentation.
As today, Croatia doesn’t need Covid vaccine or Covid vaccine certificate to enter the country, but you still have to follow the requirements.
There are 6 entry requirement options for EU (European Union) citizens:
1. A negative PCR
(taken 72 hours before arrival at the border) or antigen test taken (48 hours before arrival).
2. A vaccination certificate showing the final dose taken more than 14 days ago.
3. Proof of recovery from Covid more than 11 days and less than 180 days ago.
4. Proof of recovery and first dose of vaccination more than 11 days and less than 6 months ago.
5. Pay for a test on arrival and remain in self-isolation until a negative result.
6. Confirmation of receipt of the first dose of Pfizer, Moderna or Gamaleya (when traveling between the 22nd and 42nd day of receipt), or AstraZeneca (when traveling between the 22nd and 84th day of receipt).
You will have to fulfill one of the requirements to Enter
And for Americans and all non-EU citizens you will have to fulfill one of the 5 requirements which are:
1. A negative PCR (taken 72 hours before arrival at the border) or antigen test taken (48 hours before arrival).
2. A vaccination certificate showing the final dose taken more than 14 days ago.
3. Proof of recovery from Covid more than 11 days and less than 180 days ago.
4. Proof of recovery and first dose of vaccination more than 11 days and less than 6 months ago.
5. Pay for a test on arrival and remain in self-isolation until a negative result.
On top of that you will need to show evidence that you own property in Croatia or have paid for accommodation, be that in a hotel, camp site, private rental, boat or other tourism provider.
Also, for there is The EnterCroatia online form which allows visitors to enter all the necessary information and data prior to travelling to Croatia to ease border crossing upon entry. All travelers are advised to fill out the form before arrival.

If you will need to get tested again in Croatia for traveling back home, other countries or other reasons, there is plenty of Covid testing sites.

The price for the test can vary from $40 to $150 or more, depending upon the location, and the result can be expected between 1-48 hours depending upon the type of the test.
So please plan in advance, so you get your test in time before your traveling.
Masks
Wearing protective masks is mandatory in all closed spaces throughout the country. Masks are also mandatory in open spaces where a physical distance of at least 1.5 meters cannot be maintained.
And as a last, Most notable epidemiological restrictions include:
All public events, gatherings, and celebrations, including religious services, must end at 10 pm and cannot have more than 100 persons in attendance. Wedding parties of up to 120 guests are permitted with a mandate that all guests, staff and entertainers must have been vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19 or have a negative viral test.
Restaurants can offer food and beverages for the takeout/delivery, and may also serve guests seated both indoors and in an open-air space. Coffee shops and bars can only serve guests in open-air spaces.
Nightclubs are closed. Casinos and betting shops are open until 11 pm.
Sporting events are allowed with no spectators, and the events must end at 10 pm.
Alcohol will not be sold from 11 pm to 6 am.
